As you make your way out to sea, the experienced crew and captain will share some fascinating and fun facts about the hundreds of wild bottlenose dolphins who make their home in the tropical turquoise waters off Key West. After you’ve enjoyed your dolphin adventure, you’ll head to the third oldest wildlife refuge in the United States — created by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1908 — where you’ll snorkel in the warm, shallow Back Country waters. Not an expert swimmer? No worries — the crew will help you with your top-of-the-line snorkel gear including mask, fins, snorkel (and a float if you wish). Unlike other dolphin adventures, our Key West dolphins are not in captivity. The live free in the wild, where they belong, and we respect their status as wild animals. This eco tour allows you to responsibly watch dolphins from a safe distance as they gracefully swim, play, and feed. Our tours are designed to protect our local population of wild dolphins while allowing you to see them in their natural habitat.

Cancellation Policy

If your plans change, you must cancel your reservation at least 24 hours prior to departure time or your credit card will be charged the full price of the tour. Please call 888-667-4386 to reschedule. If your tour operator cancels for any reason, including weather, you will receive a full deposit refund. All cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time to receive a full refund. Any cancellations made same day or with less than 24-hour notice for tickets purchased or held will be charged in full and are nonrefundable. TRIPS BOOKED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE SCHEDULED DEPARTURE TIME ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

"Do I need to know how to swim?”

"Yes. You will be provided snorkel instruction and equipment, but you must know how to swim to participate in any snorkel adventure. We take you about 7 miles offshore of Key West and once in the ocean, there will not be a place for you to touch or stand, while snorkeling. All guests will receive flotation devices for their safety. Our crew is present to assist you in an emergency, but will not be able to solely attend to one party for the duration of the trip. For those unable to swim, we suggest booking a trip aboard our Glass Bottom Boat, where you can see the reef and marine life from the comfort of the boat. Guests are also always welcome to relax and enjoy the amenities aboard our spacious catamarans, during the snorkel portion of any tour."

No, we cannot guarantee that we will see dolphins, but we do have a 98% success rate of seeing dolphins on all of our dolphin watching tours. This is because the dolphins are non-migratory. They are in Key West year-round and our captains are very familiar with where to find them. Suitable for the entire family. * Children 15 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Children 16-18 may go on a Dolphin Watch trip unaccompanied, but only if they have a valid photo ID.
